More than 130 companies from a number of countries displayed their products at the international specialized exhibition “Moldagrotech”. Agricultural machines and equipment, irrigation technologies and equipment for the animal-breeding sector, wine industry and other sectors, fertilizers, pesticides and other products can be found at the exhibitions center “Moldexpo” until March 17, IPN reports.
The exhibit involves companies from Moldova, Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
In the opening of the exhibit, Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Liviu Volconovici spoke about the importance and role of exhibitions in developing the agricultural sector. “I’m convinced that the participation by agricultural producers in such events will help them establish new relations and learn about new opportunities for establishing contacts with representatives of state institutions, communities of farmers, producers or distributors of agricultural machinery and fertilizers and, surely, with representatives of the scientific community,” said the minister.
Liviu Volconovici also said that the mounting of this exhibition in Moldova became a tradition already. The goal of the event is to develop and maintain prosperous and viable partnership relations with business entities from other states.
Among the novelties in the field presented at the exhibition are the drone for agriculture, industrial paints, inoffensive fodder, plastic containers for fruit and four new hybrids from the Porumbeni Institute of Phitotechny.
The program of the exhibit includes the professional contest “Useful to Moldova”. The goal of the contest is to familiarize the agricultural producers with new equipment for modernizing the production process and developing agribusinesses in Moldova.
In support of young agricultural specialists, the best students of the Agrarian University of Moldova will present thematic reports on the current tendencies in the agricultural sector within the project “Agrogeneratie”.
The program also includes the Agro Drive show “Tractor in action”. On March 16, a number of companies will demonstrate the maneuverability and reliability of modern tractors. The visitors could drive tractors of top international makes.
