Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine until now, 1,451 Ukrainian citizens managed to find a job in the Republic of Moldova. 986 are women and 465 are men. Most of them are employed in the municipality of Chisinau, ATU Gagauzia and Balti, IPN reports.
The National Employment Agency noted that the citizens of Ukraine were employed as programmers, engineers, mowers, salesmen, cooks, waiters. There are also doctors, educators, nurses, operators in the production sector.
So far this year, 146 employers have shown their readiness to employ Ukrainian citizens, declaring 1,585 vacancies for these people. During the mentioned period, 236 Ukrainian citizens were registered at the local subdivisions of the National Employment Agency to receive assistance in getting a job.
Entrepreneurs who hired citizens of Ukraine are obliged to notify the Agency of this within five days of the date of conclusion of the employment contract.
