More than 105,000 electors voted at the polling places in Chisinau municipality by 6:45pm. This is 16.7% of the total number of voters put on electoral registers. The women represented 55.7% of those who voted, while the men 44.2%. The voters in Sangera town of Chisinau municipality continued to be the most active ones. In Cruzesti commune, the electors are the most passive ones, IPN reports.
In a press briefing, Vitalie Miron, deputy head of the Chisinau District Electoral Council, said the voter turnout in Botanica district was 21%, in Rascani – 19.7%, in Centru – 17.3%, in Buiucani - 16%, while in Ciocana -15%.
In Cruzesti, only 0.89% of the voters cast their ballots in the referendum. Sangera is at the opposite pole among the suburbs with a turnout of 32.8%.
As many as 103 830 people voted based on the main electoral rolls, while 1 440 based on additional lists. No deviations and challenges have been reported by 6:45pm, stated Vitalie Miron.
