More than 300 pieces of Cleopatra singing doll were sold Sunday in Bucharest in less than one hour, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Romanian media, the desire of the children attending the launch ceremony to approach the little star was thwarted by four bodyguards, plus her father, singer Pavel Stratan, who recognized he was surprised at the sea of children that came to see her daughter. Cleopatra, the doll, is 35 centimeters high and knows to sing “Ghita”. Available at 150 Romanian lei (about 650 Moldovan lei), the doll 'lives' in a red traveling bag similar to the one that Cleopatra used to carry in her video for Ghita. The company that produces the doll announced it would also come up with clothes for the doll, imitating the apparel used by the little singer on the stage and in videos. Cleopatra Stratan started to sing at the age of 3. Her songs are translated to other languages, enjoying a booming success in many European and even Asian countries. Cleo has won two platinum discs and entered the World Record Book as “the youngest singer ever to perform live in front of an audience for two hours and the youngest singer who recorded an album”.
