The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection reported 3, 265 active cases of COVID-19. Also, 231 persons of those infected are in a serious state and 18 of them were put on a ventilator, IPN reports.
So far, 2,344 persons have been cured of COVID-19. Sixty-four persons who recovered were discharged from the hospital on May 15.
The Ministry also reported two deaths caused by COVID-19 – a man aged 69 from the municipality of Chisinau and a woman aged 79 from Ștefan Vodă. The death toll now stands at 204.
As many as 5,745 infections with COVID-19 have been confirmed in Moldova by now. Of these, 764 were recorded in the Transnistrian region. Of those infected, 1,290 are healthcare workers, 302 of whom are doctors and 483 are nurses, the rest being ancillary personnel.
