On Easter and on Low Sunday, more than 3,000 police officers will be involved in maintaining public order, fluidizing traffic and ensuring traffic security all over the country. They will also provide assistance in emergencies. The number of patrolling teams and operative groups will be doubled in this period, IPN reports.
The head of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Marin Maxian told a news conference that the police officers will be helped by carabineers, employees of private guard services and members of public organizations that assist the law enforcement bodies.
During the Easter holidays, the police recommend informing the neighbors when leaving home and alerting the police on 902 when seeing suspect persons on the stairs of the block.
The deputy head of the Rescue and Firefighting Division Alexei Lavrinenco said that more than 500 rescuers and firefighters will be on duty in the period.
On the Resurrection night, a firefighting vehicle will be on guard near the Metropolitan Cathedral in central Chisinau. In case of fire or an emergency, one should call 901.
