As many as 61 regional development projects are to be implemented in Moldova during the next three years, under the Common Program Document for 2013-2015 that was approved by the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Regional Development and Construction Marcel Raducan said the program was worked out based on the strategies of the regional development agencies and their operational plans, while the projects were selected at a contest. “Of the total number of 98 projects presented, there were chosen 48. Thirteen projects from the Common Program Document for 2010-1012 that weren’t implemented were included in the new document,” said the minister. The projects envision the construction or rehabilitation of water supply and sewerage systems, the renovation of roads, the supporting of the development of the private sector in regions, the protection of environment and improvement of the tourist attraction of a number of regions of Moldova. The projects will be financed with money from the National Regional Development Fund that consists of 1% of the annual budget revenues.
