More than 6,000 Moldovans living abroad answered Prime Minister Iurie Leanca’s call to join the campaign to support the European integration of Moldova entitled “I bring Europe at home”, IPN reports.
According to the Bureau for Diaspora Relations, until now the members of the diaspora formed 13 groups consisting of at least 50 persons in the following towns: Athens, Montreal, Parma, Padova, Venice, Vilnius, Cascais, Bucharest, Barreiro, Torino, Rome, Paris, and Bologna.
The members of the groups will have meetings to plan the local events, discussions with the Moldovan authorities and the local authorities on the actions aimed at supporting Moldova. They will also help organize the Diaspora Days in the Republic of Moldova, which will take place for the first time on August 28-30, 2014.
