With the votes of the Alliance MPs, Parliament today appointed Anatolie Donciu as head of the National Integrity Commission, Info-Prim Neo reports.
On 19 December 2011, Parliament adopted a law to create the Integrity Commission, following which its members were appointed: Leonid Morari, proposed by the Democratic Party; Dumitru Prijmireanu, proposed by the Communist Party; Vera Lupu, proposed by the Liberal Democratic Party; and Cristina Cojocaru, representing civil society. The Liberal Party proposed Ion Casian to the Commission, but he resigned recently for personal reasons, and was replaced earlier this week by Anatolie Donciu.
The National Integrity Commission is an autonomous public authority whose mission is to verify the wealth and any potential conflicts of interest of public officials, judges and prosecutors.
