Parliament approves composition of permanent commissions

The legislative body Wednesday agreed the composition of the permanent commissions and accepted the previous Government’s resignation, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The second sitting of the legislature’s extraordinary session was preceded by a meeting of the Standing Bureau, where there were designated the members of the commissions. The lawmakers then approved the composition of the commissions.
The Communists will head four commissions, while the Alliance for European Integration – the other six.
The MPs also accepted the resignation of the Cabinet formed after the 2009 elections. The resignation tendered by Prime Minister Vlad Filat was read in Parliament by Speaker Marian Lupu.
Marian Lupu announced a break until 12.30 so as to debate the bill with amendments to the Law on the Government.
In the first sitting of the extraordinary session on Tuesday, the lawmakers approved the structure of the Standing Bureau. By Friday, Premier designate Vlad Filat is to present the new government program and new members of the Cabinet.
