Members and sympathizers of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) and the Political Party “Our Party” (PPPN) are picketing the Parliament Building. The leader of the PPPN Renato Usatyi said the protesters will act based on the decisions and dismissals that will be approved today, October 15. He instructed that the vehicles leaving the area near the Parliament Building should be checked so that Lib-Dem Vlad Filat is not allowed to go away, IPN reports.

In the morning, the supporters of the PSRM and PPPN went on a march through Chisinau, asking that the government should resign and that the stolen billion should be returned. Though these chose the same route, the marchers went in separate columns, at an interval of half an hour. Both of the columns set out from the Academy of Economic Education situated on Banulescu-Bodoni St, blocking traffic partially or fully in parts. They headed for Stefan cel Mare Blvd and stopped before the Parliament Building, where the first sitting of the autumn-winter session is held.

There are dozens of police officers who maintain public order near the protesters. Policemen with shields and nightsticks surrounded the Parliament Building, forming a cordon.

The legislature’s sitting is broadcast live on screens set up in the square before the Parliament Building. Protesters give speeches before the crowd from the stage built up in the square.
