The lawmakers come together for a special sitting on January 20 to put the investiture of the Cabinet headed by Democrat Pavel Filip to a vote, Head of Parliament Andrian Candu said after the meeting of the Standing Bureau, IPN reports.
“Today we received the candidate for Prime Minister’s government program and the list of Cabinet members. I suggested holding the sitting on January 21, but, given the urgencies, it was decided to sit today,” stated Andrian Candu.
The special sitting starts at 4pm.
Earlier, the Political Party “Our Party” announced it will mount protests near the Parliament Building today to prevent the investiture of the Filip Government. Afterward, the protests were put off for the reason that the sitting of Parliament wasn’t scheduled for today.
