Three new awards instituted by Parliament for remarkable contribution in different areas appeared in the General Armorial of the Republic of Moldova that was published in the Official Gazette on September 1, IPN reports.
The three awards “Medal of Democracy”, “Diploma of Honor” and “Diploma of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova” will be provided in gratitude and appreciation of special merits and remarkable contributions in different areas of activity.
Thus, the “Medal of Democracy” will be awarded for contribution to promoting reforms, the defense of the constitutional rights and freedoms of the people, traditions of parliamentarianism and for special merits in the professional area of activity as well as for devotion in special missions to ensure the country’s security.
The “Diploma of Honor” will be conferred for the promotion of the interests and image of the Republic of Moldova, national traditions and values in the country and abroad, the national cultural heritage, etc.
The “Diploma of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova” will be given for substantial contribution to developing science, art, culture and sport, for active participation in drafting state policies, for irreproachable activity within the central public administration, etc.
The medals and diplomas will be awarded by the Speaker of Parliament to citizens, institutions, organizations, creation and military units of Moldova and to foreign citizens, institutions, organizations and creation units.
