Based on the results obtained in the parliamentary elections of 2014, the parties are to receive allocations of 30.33 million lei from the state budget starting with 2016, when the Law on Party and Election Campaign Funding takes effect. The calculations were done by experts of the Association “Promo-LEX”, IPN reports.
According to the preliminary calculations, the Party of Socialists (PSRM) will receive 7.43 million lei, the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) – 7.28 million lei, the Party of Communists (PCRM)– 6.37 million lei, the Democratic Party (PDM) – 5.76 million lei, while the Liberal Party (PL) – 3.4 million.
Under the Law on Party and Election Campaign Funding, 0.2% of the state budget incomes will be allocated to the electoral players of Moldova. The money will be distributed proportionally to the results achieved in the elections. The following formula will be used to determine the allocations: 50% for the results in the last local elections and 50% for the results in the parliamentary elections. If taking the legislative elections of November 30, 2014 and the local elections of this year together, the parties are to receive about 60,000 lei in all.
Earlier, “Promo-LEX” presented an analysis in which it calculated the allocations to parties for their score in the local elections of 2015. Thus, the PDM and PLDM would get by about 8.7 million lei, the PCRM – 3.3 million lei, the PSRM – 3.1 million lei, the Political Party “Our Party” – 2.5 million lei, the PL – 2.2 million lei, the Electoral Bloc “European People’s Platform of Moldova – Iurie Leanca” – 1.42 million lei, the National Liberal Party – 1.48 million lei, the People’s Party of the Republic of Moldova – 1.16 million lei, while the others less than 1 million lei.
