Youths from the AIESEC organization in Chisinau offered awards to the most active companies and institutions, as acclaims to their contribution to supporting future professionals and leaders. At an event called Partners` Day, six parters of AIESEC got diplomas for different types of contributions in organizing events in 2008. They are Leogrand Hotel & Convention Center, CICO (Organizational Training and Consulting Center), the Economic Studies Academy (ASEM), Sun Communications, Apa Buna and Indigo Ogilvy, Info-Prim Neo reports. ASEM's rector Grigore Belostecinic said the cooperation between companies and the academic sector was not sufficiently developed in Moldova. “The entrepreneurs do not support, as much as they could, the future professionals prepared by universities. AIESEC tries to oust this gap between the two sectors. I am honored to have the possibility to help these young people,” he said. Leogrand Hotel & Convention Center's representative, Raisa Potlog, said that it was important that those youths keep asking themselves “Why not?”, instead of “Why?” “It's important they understood how they could have fun in working,” she said. “We care for the fate of the new generation. In 2008 Mobiasbanca gave credits to youths. We back their activities and are open to cooperate with them,” said Veronica Bazgu, a representative of the bank. The event was attended by 70 partner-companies of AIESEC. AIESEC is the largest organizations of students in the world run by students and fresh graduates. It joins 32,000 members and has 60 years of experience in over 100 countries. Its goal is to educate leaders – agents of change. The Partners` Day event was organized with the support of Mobiasbanca, Leogrand Hotel & Convention Center and the American Chamber of Commerce.
