The drivers involved in passenger transportation have six months at their disposal to change the license plates. The yellow license plates that are used from March are identical to the white ones by size, emblem and the combination of letters and digits, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the ICT Ministry, the yellow license plates are issued to economic entities holding a license for public passenger transportation and are used only in the presence of a valid license for this type of activity.
The decision was approved by the Government on January 22, 2014 in a move to fight the illegal transportation of passengers.
