The Party of Communists (PCRM) does not recognize Igor Dodon as President of the Republic of Moldova. In a statement, the party’s Central Committee says the PCRM refuses all the contacts with the President-elect and reserves the right to inform society about the crimes committed by the power, of which Igor Dodon has also been responsible during over four years, IPN reports.
“We start from an evident finding: the oligarchic and corrupt regime ‘invented’ these elections in order to reduce the intensity of protests and divert society’s attention from the struggle for social rights to sterile discussions about the qualities and faults of the ‘candidates’ or the qualities and shortcomings of one or another foreign policy course,” reads the statement.
According to the Communists, Igor Dodon saves the current power for the second time in the last four years. “Initially, he offered the alliance the votes needed to elect Nicolae Timofti President and now he himself will occupy the seat warmed up by his predecessor,” says the statement.
