PCRM keeps names of candidates for local elections secret

The Political Bureau of the Communist Party (PCRM) in a meeting on March 16 discussed the lists of candidates for the forthcoming general local elections, but did not make them public. The party will take a final decision in this respect no sooner than at the end of March, Communist lawmaker Sergiu Sarbu has told Info-Prim Neo. The MP said the decision about the PCRM’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau will be made the same way. According to him, the list of candidates for this year’s local elections will be published after the date of elections is announced, but they will insist that the ballot takes place in June, not later as rumored.
