“The ruling alliance should resign immediately and voluntarily,” the leader of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin said Tuesday, announcing that the party will resort to mass protests, Info-Prim Neo reports. “From today, the ruling alliance is a group of usurpers, both from legal and from moral viewpoints,” the Communist leader told a news conference. The PCRM starts preparations for mass protests. “Our main demand is that the current administration should resign,” said Vladimir Voronin, without specifying if protests will be staged in Chisinau only or all over the country. Vladimir Voronin stated the PCRM is ready to assume responsibility and take over the administration. “We know how to overcome the crisis. The best solution is for the ruling alliance to resign and for the legislative body to be dissolved,” stressed the Communist leader. According to Vladimir Voronin, the PCRM fielded no candidate for the presidency because it knew that this candidate will not be voted in. The PCRM’s position did not change. It considers that the presidential candidate should be apolitical. “The events that took place during the last two years culminated yesterday, with the AEI’s failure to put forward a candidate for the presidency. The representatives of the AEI and the traitors who joined together had 62 votes, but they did not even put forward a candidate. The President will not be elected until the country is administered by the AEI and there won’t be stability,” said the chairman of the Communist Party.
