The declaration made by the PCRM’s Central Committee shows that the party does not want to take part in the political process in Moldova, political analyst Viorel Cibotaru stated for Info-Prim Neo. According to him, the Communist Party expresses reticence about certain ideological schemes that its set and that do not meet the rigors of the current political process. “This declaration shows that this party has radicalized itself and that it does not want to participate in the political process in a generally accepted context. When I say this I refer to all the foreign partners of Moldova, including Russia and Ukraine. Basing on narrow interests and views, the Communist Party deprives its voters of the possibility of seeing certain expectations being met. If the presidential elections fail, the PCRM will be responsible for perpetuating the political crisis in Moldova,” said the political analyst. As to the PCRM’s assertion that the three MPs who left the Communist parliamentary group are corrupt, Viorel Cibotaru said these are only speculations. If the PCRM possesses information that can be substantiated, it should inform the Prosecutor’s Office. The Communist Party issued a statement, describing the defection by Igor Dodon, Zinaida Greceanyi and Veronica Abramchuk from the Communist parliamentary group as betrayal, moral decay and conformation that they lack uprightness.
