The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) committed itself to putting the interests of the family high on the list of national priorities, the party’s chairman Marian Lupu said in the event “Moldova’s Family” that was held on September 14, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the PDM, Marian Lupu said the Democratic Party will make effort to solve the problems encountered by the families in Moldova first. “We will provide concrete solutions so that fewer people have to choose between welfare and a united family. The families must remain unified at home, in Moldova, so as to educate and protect the children. We consider the rights of women and the promotion of their interests as very important. We will grow the economy in order to bring wellbeing to each home. We will develop Moldova in order to create better living conditions for every family,” said the Democratic leader.
The PDM’s event that involved families was hosted by the head of the Women’s Organization of the party Valentina Buliga, Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family. “Namely the Democratic women, when they entered politics, aimed to see the Moldovan families healthy and powerful and every child, mother, wife and parent living in decent conditions,” Valentina Buliga said in the opening of the event.
The PDM’s event “Moldova’s Family” took place at the end of a week during which the Democratic team travelled to towns and villages within the express campaign “Moldova’s Voice” to discuss with the people. According to the Democrats, most of the problems communicated by the people refer to their families and their families’ welfare is their main concern.
