PDM can fall into its own trap, Mihai Cernencu

The leader of the Democratic Party (PDM) Marian Lupu is considered by the voters a renegade, said politologist Mihai Cernencu. Lupu earlier left the Communist Party and now, if he insists on the Government’s dismissal and votes together with the PCRM, he may fall into his won trap, Cernencu stated for Info-Prim Neo. “I don’t think that the Republic of Moldova can win something if the censure motion is adopted. I don’t think that the people are ready to enter a new election campaign. The PDM considers itself powerful as it has money, but it will not be able to win many votes. EU Ambassador Dirk Schuebel said that Moldova does not need early elections as it will be a catastrophe. We will fail in the last round of talks and will not manage at least to initial the Association Agreement,” said Mihai Cernencu. He also said that the PDM hasn’t created its own electoral segment yet and it’s a mistake to believe that it will win many votes. “Lupu’s actions show that he is directed by his colleague Vlad Plahotniuc, who wants to take revenge,” stated the politologist, adding the evil group interests must be stopped as it is absolute irresponsibility when a party that has ministers in the Cabinet demands dismissing it. The Democratic Party insists on the ‘zero variant’, which is renegotiating the agreement on the formation of the Alliance for European Integration from zero. According to the Democrats, the zero variant means the resignation of the Premier, followed by the resignation of the Head of Parliament. On March 5, Parliament is to debate the censure motion against the Government put forward by the Communist MPs. The Government can be dismissed by at least 51 votes.
