The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) has identified a candidate for the post of minister of defense. After the meeting of the party’s Standing Bureau, Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, who is the deputy chairman of the PDM, said the name of the candidate will be made public in the nearest future, IPN reports.
Andrian Candu noted that there were considered a number of candidates for the post of minister of defense and a person who deserves to hold this post and will be proposed for this was ultimately decided. In the nearest future, the Government will nominate the candidate for President Igor Dodon to either confirm or reject this.
The post of minister of defense fell vacant at the start of this year after President Dodon signed the decree to dismiss Anatol Salaru from this post at the request of the Liberal Party.
