A coalition between the Democratic Party and the Party of Socialists is the most probable one if we analyze the existing options, stated political pundit Corneliu Ciurea. He noted the negotiations are held not in the light of projectors. They are held in secret, IPN reports.
“We do not even know if secret negotiations were held, for example, between the PDM and the PSRM. We see only public statements,” Corneliu Ciurea stated in a program on Publika TV channel.
According to him, from political viewpoint all the coalitions are impossible and cannot exist. However, politics is the art of the possible and an alliance between incompatible sides can be yet formed. The most recent survey carried out by the polling company IMAS showed that some of the voters consider a coalition between the Democrats and the Socialists is possible. “I have the feeling that the voters understand that the PDM and PSRM are the most pragmatic parties and it was often said that the level of verbal aggression between the two parties was arranged. In such conditions, the voters have the feeling that these two parries could now solve this political problem to avoid snap elections,” stated Corneliu Ciurea.
Journalist Petru Bogatu said the package of proposals presented by the Party of Socialists on April 9 is formally addressed to all the parties. At the same time, when analyzing the PSRM’s offer more thoroughly, this seems to be a counteroffer. “If we leave aside the details conceding the social aspect, which seems to have been intercalated artificially, this looks as a counteroffer and as a response to the previous offer of the bloc ACUM to me,” stated the journalist.
“The bloc ACUM proposed everything or nothing, as the Party of Socialists did. It answers in a similar way. With such an offer, discussions cannot be held with anyone, not speaking about the Democratic Party.”
Two days ago, the bloc ACUM invited the PSRM to discuss the package of laws concerning the de-oligarchization of the state and assumption of responsibility for forming a minority government. Later, the Party of Socialists presented its own package of legislative proposals, suggesting the Socialist leader Zinaida Grecheanyi for Parliament Speaker and taking over the ministry of defense and the ministry of foreign affairs.
