The Democratic Party of Moldova took notice of the decision of the Constitutional Court (CC) and remains determined to take part in the formation of the new parliamentary majority and the new government, as the party’s Political Bureau decided, alongside the Liberal Democratic Party, the party says in a communiqué, quoted by IPN.
“This decision implies a number of immediate effects and, in such conditions, certain assessments and discussions are needed in the immediate period. We are to draw conclusions over the exact effects of the CC’s decision and to establish the steps that we will take in the future,” it is said in the communiqué.
President Nicolae Timofti’s decree on the designation of Vlad Filat as Prime Minister was declared unconstitutional on April 22. Earlier the same day, the Democratic Party announced that the Democratic MPs will vote for Vlad Filat as Prime Minister.
