The pensions set and recalculated based on the Law on the Public Pension System will be increased by 6.8% as of April 1, 2017, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.
The minimum old-age pension will be 961 lei. The minimum disability pension will also rise by 6.8% and will be 480-720 lei, depending on the disability degree.
The average old-age pension will increase by 104.87 lei for over 500,000 recipients. The disability pension will grow by 75.28 lei for 132,000 recipients, while the average pension of the participants in the Chernobyl cleanup, paid to 1,842 persons, will rise by 193.03 lei.
