Residents of Balti complained about the long queues at the offices issuing identification papers to Minister of Information and Communication Technology Alexandru Oleinic, who paid a working visit to the town on March 9. The minister said the problem will be solved after Moldova's Post Office starts receiving applications for identification papers at all its offices, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The problem resides in the low capacity for satisfying people's demands and in the fact that the people lack the required documents,” Alexandru Oleinic said, quoted by the ICT Ministry's press service. At a meeting with representatives of the local offices of Moldova's Post Office and Registru company in Balti, Alexandru Oleinic stressed the Ministry aims to improve the quality of the services provided for the population. “We serve the interests of the people. Thus, the attitude towards them and their demands should be very responsible,” the minister said, adding that the Ministry's administration will not tolerate the irresponsibility and indifference to the population. Moldova's Post Office has 1,150 local offices all over Moldova, while Registru - 96 subdivisions. More than 7,000 persons work for the two companies.
