To correctly manage the money, any person should first of all write the daily costs and revenues for a year. In connection with the campaign “Learn everything about money”, IT sector businessman Sergiu Malairău said the planning of expenses is a test for those who want to become financially independent, see the real situation and do not have illusions that they spend less, IPN reports.

About the period when one can start to make savings, Sergiu Malairău said it is bad when such a conclusion is reached late, but one can start anytime. The best is to begin to educate the children on the sense of money at schooland in the family so that they begin adult life prepared. The correct management of money should be a way of living. It’s better to spend less than one earns and this should be done regardless of the level of income.

When the costs and revenues for a period are written, the real situation is seen and particular things can be planned. This becomes a habit that influences life further. “You do not make purchases according to emotions. You always take time and think as one always pays more when making such purchases,” stated Sergiu Malairău.

The idea of saving money does not mean being greedy. It means choosing the right price for the needed product. One can also ask oneself if they really need that product, if this will bring value added. “A tonne of metal or steel does not arouse emotions and thus has a correct price on the market. An iPhone, a special piece of clothing or a car will not necessarily have a correct price. Emotional purchases imply spending more and the money earned by assiduous work will be given to someone else,” explained Sergiu Malairău.

The campaign “Learn everything about money” is addressed to the general public in Moldova and is carried out under the aegis of the Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance Agency in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Moldova.
