The People’s Force Party considers that the November 30 elections were not at all democratic and fair. In a press statement, the party says that the basic principles of civilized organization of elections were discredited. The contenders were from the very beginning put in unequal conditions, while the oligarchic parties in a deifying and abusive way used the financial and administrative resources to cynically and impertinently manipulate the people, IPN reports.
“On December 2, the CEC announced that 68,560 ballots were invalidated, while on December 3 the figure fell to 57,436 or by almost 10,000,” the party says in its press statement.
The People’s Force Party is concerned about the fact that for the first time in the last few years, there weren’t conducted exit polls. “Even in a society like ours, where the mass media are controlled by oligarchs and are involved in the misinformation of the general public and the manipulation of the people, such polls would have revealed the real score of a number of election runners,” it said.
The party expresses its regret at the fact that the political organizations that are aware of the danger posed by the ruling oligarchic groups could not mobilize a sufficient number of people able to realize the major risks confronting society. Regardless of the committed violations, the really democratic and pro-European parties were unable to join their efforts in this election campaign and to become a real political force able to directly influence the political and social situation in the country and Moldova’s external development course.
According to the preliminary election results, the People’s Force Party polled 0.73% of the ballot.
