The People’s Force Party issued a press statement whereby it urges strengthening the anti-oligarchic forces as time has come for tough, but necessary decisions that run counter to the interests of the ruling oligarchs, IPN reports.
The statement says that despite the formation by the current legislature of the executive bodies and despite the installation of the Government, the political situation in the country is profoundly marked by economic stagnation, uncertainty and lack of clarity in the policies promoted by the minority coalition formed by the Liberal Democratic and the Democratic Party, which is supported by the Communists from behind. Moldova faces again a period of dangers and risks that represent also a moment of truth for society – we either fulfill the commitments undertaken before the EU or return to the policy of oscillating between the East and the West, which will represent the definitive abandonment of the pro-European course.
The People’s Force Party considers it is necessary to actively take part in the process of strengthening the pro-European forces and preparing for the local elections and, eventually, for early parliamentary elections. “We consider the organizations and institutions of the NGO sector, which didn’t yield to the corruption attempts of the current power, and the independent media outlets must become an active part of the joint effort made by the healthy forces of society to maintain Moldova on the path of reforms and the European integration” reads the statement.
The party reiterates its call to strengthen the dialogue between the pro-European extraparliamentary parties in a move to join efforts in the fight against the destructive and anti-national oligarchic regime.
