The People’s Party of Moldova (PPRM) that was represented by Maxim Braila at the mayoral elections in Chisinau on May 20 decided to give its support to the candidate of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase in the June 3 mayoral runoffs. The decision was taken in a meeting of the party’s Political Bureau, IPN reports.
In a press release, the party said that by this decision the PPRM reaffirms its pro-European option and joins the political forces that share the same beliefs. In the meeting, Maxim Braila expressed his regret that the young people represented less that 3% of the voters who cast their ballots on May 20, which shows their indifference to the expected changes.
Maxim Braila said on June 3 the young people are offered one more chance to show their care for the inhabitants of Chisinau and to make sure that they live in a European city and this chance cannot be missed.
In the first round of the early mayoral elections in Chisinau, the PPRM candidate Maxim Braila won 0.15% of the ballot.
