People’s Party to announce new leadership format

The People’s Party of Moldova (PPRM) will announce this week the format of the party’s new leadership and the activity plan for the upcoming period, Info-Prim Neo learned from a PPRM press release. The People’s Party will be headed either by a president or by a board of co-presidents. The decisions will be taken at the 2nd Congress of the People’s Party of Moldova. 350 delegates from 29 district organizations, from UTA Gagauzia, from Chisinau and Balti municipalities will meet on November 17 at the Leogrand Hotel & Convention Center in the capital. “The decision adopted at this congress will mark the finalization of a vast work of forming district organization and the beginning of the party’s active involvement in the political life of Moldova”, said one of the party’s activists, politician Alexandru Oleinic. Oleinic says that PPRM is the only political party whose formation began from districts towards the capital and not the other way around. “The fact the initiative co create the People’s Party came from people in districts, unhappy that the government forgot about them the next day after elections, proves this party is increasingly becoming a real alternative political force”. During the congress, the delegates will adopt the Political Status and Program in a new draft and will set the goals for the upcoming period. They will also elect the new members of the National Political Council, of the Central Censors Commission and of the Party’s Court of Ethics and Arbitration.
