The period for editing judicial documents will be extended by 15 days until 45 days. A bill to amend a number of relevant normative documents was given a final reading by Parliament, IPN reports.
The legislative proposal was submitted by the head of the Parliament’s commission for appointments and immunities Vasile Bolea. It was drafted by the Association of Judges of the Republic of Moldova. The authors also aim to ensure that any court judgment is edited in a clear and plain language.
“To meet these requirements, the judges need time that would enable them to combine the editing of decisions with the studying of other cases, legislation, case law, doctrine, to organize and prepare for hearings, including to efficiently examine the criminal cases in a reasonable timeframe and by ensuring the right to rest, to respect for the private and family life of judges,” stated the author.
