The Government approved changes to the schedules when it is allowed hunting particular species. Thus, the wild boars can be hunted from November 14 until December 31, while foxes – from August 15 until February 28. Pigeons can be hunted in the period between August 15 and October 18, quails – between August 15 and October 14, while pheasants, except for females – between October 3 and January 13, IPN reports.
In the forests managed by the Hunters and Fishermen’s Society, hunting is allowed on Saturdays and Sundays, while in the rented forests – throughout the week. The number of foxes that can be hunted is not limited. The boars will be hunted only in areas rented for cynegetic purposes.
During the whole hunting season, hunting in the natural areas protected by the state is banned. Hunting of rabbits, deer, moor hens, woodcocks and hollow pigeons is also not allowed because their populations are scarce.
