Two persons, one with hypothermia and another one with frostbite, sought emergency medical assistance on January 7 and 8. One of the patients was admitted, while the other one was transferred to another hospital, the Emergency Medicine Institute informed.
According to the Institute, more than 320 patients received medical assistance during the two days. Of these, 85 were hospitalized. The other patients received the necessary medical care and were transferred to other strategic hospitals or left on an outpatient basis.
Thus, most of the patients were admitted to the Traumatology Section and fewer to the Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurology and Microsurgery Sections.
Also, 26 people needed surgery, including 22 on an emergency basis. Currently, all patients are in a medium, stable condition.
The AVIASAN National Service transferred between hospitals seven patients, including two children and five adults, and two surgeries were performed on these.
