The larger than required individual contributions paid into the state social insurance budget after January 1, 2009 will be refunded to the insured persons in accordance with the regulations approved by the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. The yearly ceiling for individual state social insurance contributions is 5 average salaries planned in the economy multiplied by 12. Some of the insured persons transfer larger contributions than required. Deputy Minister of Social Protection, Family and Child Iurie Bucinschi said that most often this happens when the person has several jobs and transfers contributions from every work. The surplus will be calculated when the employer submits the statements regarding the insured persons. Under the regulations, the extra amount will be refunded after the insured person lodges an application with the local office of the National Social Insurance House. The application can be filed within 3 years of the day when the surplus is determined. The extra amounts are transferred to the bank account of the insured person.
