The police confiscated petards and other pyrotechnic articles to the value of 42,000 lei from the home of a young man from Balti town, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the General Police Inspectorate, the articles were to be sold illegally at a market in Balti, without documents or origin and compliance certificates. The young man faces a fine of up to 2,000 lei and confiscation of the merchandise.
The police will continue the raids during the winter holidays.
