The Prosecutor General's Office (PG) reminds that the people can report cases of abuse and violations of human rights, including violations committed by public servants and employees of the law enforcement bodies and other irregularities, through the institution's trust lines (that can be found on the PG's website) or through the hotlines 22 81 18 and 22 74 55, on workdays from 8:00 to 17:00, Info-Prim Neo reports. The call comes after the Prosecutor's Office of Drochia district started a legal case over use of torture by officials of the district police department following a complaint made by a young man through the PG's trust line. As a result of investigations, it was established that the young man suspected of theft was maltreated by police officers while under arrest. The doctor who examined him determined he received average bodily injuries and a concussion and had one rib broken, the PG says in a communique.
