The Liberal Party (PL) wants to sell its skin dearer, political analyst Corneliu Ciurea said, commenting for Info-Prim Neo on the Liberal MPs’ decision to leave the February 24 sitting of Parliament and to refuse taking part in fixing the date of the presidential elections. “The Liberal Party in this configuration has an advantage – voting in favor of the date of the presidential elections. Thus, the Liberals want to sell their skin dearer,” said the analyst. According to Corneliu Ciurea, the Liberals realize that if they vote for a candidate alongside their colleagues from the ruling alliance and the group of Socialists, which will be probably joined by the Communists after the elections, they will be excluded from the game. The analyst also said that this situation will most probably lead to early legislative elections and if the PLDM and PDM really want to avoid them, they should make an offer to the Liberal Party.
