The Government approved the national plan of events dedicated to the Year of Nicolae Testemitanu, IPN reports.
In the course of this year, a series of scientific, cultural and sports activities will be staged in appreciation of the remarkable contribution to developing the health system made by Nicolae Testemitanu, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of his birth.
Among the most important events are the Fourth Congress of Specialists in Social Medicine and Sanitary Management, scientific conferences and public lectures, printing of anniversary articles and mounting of photo and book exhibitions dedicated to Nicolae Testemitanu.
Nicolae Testemitanu was a doctor, scientist, teacher and academician. In 1963-1968, he served as minister of health and distinguished himself by the modernization of the health system and training of highly qualified personnel.
