Those who will view the play “The Illness of Family M” will learn to love more and not to miss the occasions offered by life, said Ion Rizea, deputy director of the National Theater “Mihai Eminescu” of Romania’s Timisoara and actor in the troupe that will present this play in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The play “The Illness of Family M” by Fausto Paradivino will be staged at “Eugene Ionesco” Theater in the evening of June 2, within the International Festival “BITEI – 2012”.
In a news conference, the Romanian actors said that they are glad to be in Moldova’s capital and that the play will be understood by most of the viewers as it is in Romanian. They presented the play ten times in Paris and needed subtitles to make themselves understood.
The members of the troupe hope the public in Chisinau will be active and will take what everyone needs from the play. “Most of my colleagues are in Moldova for the first time. They were impressed by the city and the local people. We hope the Moldovans will like the play as it is intended for all the categories of public,” said Ion Rizea.
The illness is in reality a malady of a family living in a provincial town. The mother disappeared in mysterious circumstances, while the two sisters, Marta and Maria try to give a form to their own lives. The father is sick, but not old, as the character asserts, and is fully absent, while the younger brother takes life as a game and behaves as such. Each of them tries to discuss with the others, but are unable to solve their problems by communication.
