The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) is ready to field a candidate for Moldova’s President, but it is also considering the possibility of holding negotiations with the pro-European parties of the right so as to identify a common candidate. According to the head of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group Tudor Deliu, this subject was discussed in the last meeting of the party’s Standing Bureau, IPN reports.
In a press conference on April 11, Tudor Deliu said a final decision will be taken as a result of discussions with pro-European extraparliamentary parties because they see no such parties in Parliament.
The legislative body decided that the presidential elections will take place on October 30.
