The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) drafted a political agreement on the formation and functioning of the Pro-European Government Coalition. In a press briefing, the party’s deputy head Liliana Palihovich said that the text of the agreement is public and can be found on the PLDM’s website, IPN reports.

Liliana Palihovich told the journalists that the PLDM will have discussions with the parties and unaffiliated lawmakers who want to form part of the coalition. The discussions will be held in a transparent way and there will be no secret agreements.

Under the draft agreement proposed by the party, the coalition will include an Assembly, a Meeting of Leaders, a Coalition Council, a Parliamentary Coordination Council, and a secretariat. The PLDM suggests creating the Prime Minister’s Inspection Staff, the Public Revenues Agency, and the Agency for Foreign Assistance.

Another proposal is to transfer the State Property and Administration Agency and the Agency for Investment Attraction and Export Promotion under the Government’s management.

The PLDM said that in order to increase the efficiency of the Government’s work, the presidium of the executive will be removed, while the Prime Minister will be empowered to perform Cabinet reshuffles.

Liliana Palihovich informed that the leader of the PLDM Vlad Filat already had meetings with the chairman of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu, the leader of the reform-seeking Liberals Ion Hadarca and some of the unaffiliated MPs.
