Prime Minister Pavel Filip had a telephone discussion with his Ukrainian counter Vladimir Groisman on June 30. The two conferred on topical subjects of common interest, the Moldovan-Ukrainian relations and the prospects of developing these, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press office, the two Premiers noted the positive dynamics of the bilateral contacts between the governmental institutions of the two countries and pleaded for stimulating the political dialogue and multilateral cooperation between Moldova and Ukraine.
The officials also underlined the necessity of stepping up efforts in the context of the new challenges and provocations faced by the neighboring state and Moldova and the importance of resuming the work of the Moldovan-Ukrainian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation that hasn’t been convened since 2011.
Pavel Filip invited Vladimir Groisman to pay a visit to Chisinau to take part in the events that will be staged to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the declaration of Moldova’s independence on August 27, 2016.
