The police blame the Chisinau municipality for the jams in the capital. Public order police head Mihai Cebotaru told a news conference the jams appeared because the places of minibus stops were not marked duly, Info-Prim Neo reports. The problem could disappear, if the City Hall obliged the minibus route managers to observe the contracts, stipulating that the passengers shall get off and on shared taxis only in duly-marked places, Mihai Cebotaru suggested. The contracts already signed do not provide for ways of been canceled if not observed, the top policeman says. Another factor leading to jams is the lack of parking lots, which are also to be dealt with by the local authorities. The police officer opines the local authorities should issue a decision allowing for forced evacuation of cars parked irregularly. The traffic police do not manage alone to fight the drivers parking or staying irregularly, Mihai Cebotaru concluded.
