The police arrested a group of persons on suspicion that they cultivated, produced and sold hashish. Over 20 flower pots with hemp plants were found at suspects’ homes, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the group has been monitored for five months. The suspects aged between 51 and 54 produced hashish in an apartment in Chisinau. They were earlier tried for forging documents and money and for drug-related offenses.
As a result of searches at suspects’ homes, the police found about 50 grams of marijuana, 20 grams of hashish and 26 flower pots with hemp plants as well as handmade objects for taking drugs and hemp seeds.
The group members are investigated for illegal distribution of drugs and face up to 15 years in jail.
