Police find hemp plans worth 60m lei in Stefan-Voda

The police discovered a plot of about 20 hectares with hemp plants near a lake in Volintiri village of Stefan-Voda district. The merchandise was assessed at 60 million lei, the Ministry of the Interior says on its website, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Legal action was taken over illegal circulation of narcotic substances. The offenders are liable to 7 to 15 years behind bars. They will be deprived of the right to hold certain posts and carry our certain activities for a period of 2 to 5 years. The Antidrug Division this year has discovered 1,370 offences related to the keeping, using and illegal distribution of drugs.
