Motorists are urged to outfit their vehicles with winter tires, to adjust the speed to the conditions on the road and to use the lighting-signaling and demisting systems so as to see and be seen in traffic.
The recommendations for drivers were formulated by the National Patrolling Inspectorate of the General Police Inspectorate in connection with the warning issued by the State Hydrometeorological Service that forecast a change in the weather and precipitation in the form of sleet in some regions of the country, IPN reports.
The police recommend the drivers to keep the distance between vehicles so as to be able to stop in conditions of safety, to periodically check the battery in the car and not to forget to drive carefully and with attention to pedestrians, especially at night.
