The political parties will be able to donate the state budget allocations intended for parties for containing the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, the law bans this. The decision was taken in the March 26 meeting of the Commission for Exceptional Situations, IPN reports.
According to Prime Minister Ion Chicu, to offer the parties the possibility of donating the financial allocations intended for parties for weathering the novel coronavirus, derogation was allowed from the Law on Political Parties. Now the parties could make these donations.
The Commission also decided that the lawyers, notaries and bailiffs are obliged to obey the epidemiological norms during the state of emergency and to work according to law. Premier Chicu noted the non-observance of the norms will be considered a disciplinary deviation as from March 27 and will be published with exclusion from the profession.
The permissive documents issued to business entities and the documents issued to the personnel working in the field by the National Motor Transport Agency and the Civil Aviation Authority, whose periods of validity expire during the state of emergency, will be renewed for 60 days. The period of validity of the electronic certificates that expired or will expire during the state of emergency will be renewed for the given period.
Also, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Finance will ensure the temporary closing of two terrestrial border crossing points – Costești-Stânca and Briceni-Rosoșani - as of March 29.
From now on, the local public authorities could take decisions on the institution of quarantine by themselves, when the number of local infections will represent 1% of the population. They will have to only inform the Commission for Exceptional Situations about this.
