The electronic register of voters in a number of polling places does not work and the operators process the data manually. The president of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Iurie Ciocan told the reporters that all the available IT specialists were involved in restoring the electronic connection.
Iurie Ciocan said that he does not know why the servers stopped working, but they will soon become functional again. Until then, the operators register manually the personal data of the voters. By evening, these will be introduced in the electronic system.
Iurie Ciocan added that there are observers supervising the voting process in al the polling places. These have reported no violations yet.
